I started in 2008, by a strange coincidence of fate: one day in Milan I met Matteo. He is a very intelligent boy, he cultivates many passions and studies economics like me. We talk about this and that, then at a certain point, talking about future projects, he tells me: “Look, a friend of mine is earning some money thanks to Adsense, Google's advertising banners. He creates blogs, places them on the first page of Google, and earns for each click received.” This interests me: I have always had an interest in the web, so I'll delve deeper into the discussion. We have a good feeling and decide to start this business too. Despite a recently obtained specialist degree, I decide not to work in the company, but to venture into the online world. Dad always believed in me and always encouraged me, always . I start studying like crazy, day and night. After a while Matteo and I started the first project, a site on the price of gold. Matteo takes care of the graphics, I take care of the positioning.
In about 3 months the site is on the front page for the word "gold quotation" and many others, and generates €1400 per month via Google Adsense. NB: we are in 2008. To position a website, all that was needed was a little on-page SEO optimization and the use of AMR for linkbuilding: a software that generated thousands of low-quality links with just a few clicks. Now these techniques no longer work. For Denmark Telegram Number Data the series: don't try this at home. In short: a success. We start several other blogs, based on the same monetization system. Then, in April 2012… Penguin arrives. Sites collapse. That was the end. Actually, not the end. It was my beginning. If the goal, until then, was to earn online by exploiting a still "primitive" Google algorithm, after that date I started studying SEO with the aim of creating value. If before, therefore, I created very poor quality websites positioned with spam, since 2012 I have been doing my best to increase the value of the sites I manage (in terms of structure, content, etc.), making them worthy of obtaining visibility.
The field of study is always SEO, but the business vision is diametrically opposite. In the meantime I have also decided to separate professionally from Matteo, who is now dedicated to other projects. How did you learn to do SEO? I started from American blogs, following Pat Flynn and Alex Becker in particular . In particular, following the latter brought me great results until 2012, but I now advise against following its lessons: it mixes valid theories with nonsense. Now, having changed my approach to the subject, I no longer follow either of them. Currently I take inspiration, internationally, from Brian Dean and a few other blogs. Furthermore, in my opinion, SEO can be learned on the job. I learned a lot by positioning my own sites, first with methods close to spam (until 2012), then with "cleaner" methods (from 2012 onwards). I think I placed at least 10 of my own sites before I accepted my first client in 2013.
